In a post last week we detailed widespread violations by the Provo School District regarding illegal use of district resources by administration in support of the Pro bond PIC. The emails we published showed the Superintendent directing administors and principals to attend PIC meetings, principals directing teachers and staff to publicly endorse the PIC, senior administrators directly soliciting PIC funds, other staff spending work time supporting the PIC.
The School District claimed that they had already self-reported all violations and were found clear of any wrongdoing, and many others repeated those claims. We have confirmed by email with the Utah Elections office that the district’s claims of exoneration are false.
The only documents from the district they had reviewed were the single email from a principal we had reported, referenced in the second paragraph here: https://www.provoschoolbond.org/post/rampant-illegal-activity-by-provo-school-district
What about the rest of the emails that we published? Those that the district claims they self-reported, had been reviewed, and were cleared of any wrongdoing for sending?

Those emails were never sent for review, and the elections office certainly never cleared them of wrongdoing.
The school district administration seems to be not only misleading the public on this, but also the members of the school board who are supposed to have oversight over their conduct.
We Deserve Better
This seems like a big effort to smear the District, and sway the voters. Again, come up with a better idea for the students. In the meantime, please take a look at the pictures in this article, found in the Daily Herald, dated October 13th, entitled: Editorial: Provo School Bond is best choice for children's safety, fiscal responsibility. https://www.heraldextra.com/news/opinion/herald-editorials/editorial-provo-school-bond-is-best-choice-for-children-s/article_d4e95b63-d370-5a10-b15b-8c3ccef70a11.html
